Post-Operative Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage From Our RMTs
Post-operative lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, specialized treatment designed to support the body’s natural healing process following surgery. Using light, rhythmic techniques, the treatment encourages the movement of lymphatic fluid to help reduce swelling, fluid retention, and feelings of tightness or heaviness after surgery.
This treatment is beneficial following mastectomy, breast reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast augmentation or reduction, and other body contouring surgeries.
Post-operative lymphatic drainage massage helps:
-
Reduce swelling and fluid retention
-
Support healthy lymphatic circulation
-
Ease feelings of tightness and discomfort
-
Support tissue healing and recovery
-
Improve mobility and comfort as you recover
-
Address areas of tissue restriction as healing progresses
-
Decreases fibrosis and scar tissue formation
Each treatment is tailored to your stage of recovery, surgical procedure, and individual needs. Our Registered Massage Therapists use gentle techniques and modify treatment appropriately as your body heals.
Mastectomy & Breast Reconstruction
Following mastectomy or breast reconstruction, changes to the breast, chest wall, and lymphatic system can contribute to swelling, tightness, and restricted mobility. Gentle lymphatic drainage techniques can be incorporated into your recovery to help manage post-operative swelling and support comfort and movement as tissues heal.

Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery
Post-operative lymphatic drainage massage can also support recovery following procedures such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, breast surgery, and body contouring. Treatment focuses on gently encouraging fluid movement, reducing post-operative swelling, and supporting a more comfortable recovery.
Treatment is provided once massage is appropriate for your stage of healing and in accordance with any post-operative instructions provided by your surgeon or healthcare team.
